No. Your child does not need a formal diagnosis to attend our sessions.
Absolutely nothing. We understand that having a child with additional needs puts pressure on families and we want to make sure we don't add to any financial pressure.
Rainbow Rogues is funded by grants, donations and fundraising and we will never ask our families to pay to attend our sessions.
Unfortunately not. Due to the nature of the group and the children that attend, we need to ensure that we have the right staff to child ratio to ensure that each child gets the support they need.
If you are interested in attending one of our sessions, please email us at hello@rainbowrogues.org.uk to tell us a bit about your child.
Your child will be added to our waiting list and we will try to get them into a session as quickly as possible.
Yes you can. Rainbow Rogues aims to support the whole family, not just the child with additional needs.
If you have other pre-school children they can attend our sessions and will join in all of the group activities.
Rainbow Rogues will provide a healthy snack for all the children. We encourage the children to try all the food that's available but understand that some children may have issues with textures and tastes.
All allergies and intolerances are taken into account when serving the snacks.
If you prefer to bring your own snack we do ask that it is as healthy as possible.
When you are offered your session, you are encouraged to attend as often as possible but we understand that you may have other committments from time to time.
If you cannot make it to the session but your child can, a friend or relative would be made to feel very welcome in the group if they attend with your child.
As we often have a waiting list in place for spaces in the group, if you no longer wish to attend for any reason, we would ask that you let us know as soon as possible so that we can open the space for another child.
Rainbow Rogues is unlike any mainstream toddler group as we are specifically set up for children with additional needs.
All of our staff are highly trained in working with children with additional support needs and have a great insight into how to bring out the best in each child.
Our session sizes are kept small and we have an average of 6-8 children at each session. When a child is offered a space, a lot of consideration is given to their individual needs and how they will fit into the group. If they require a higher level of support, they will be place in a smaller group.
Our sessions include a lot of free-play but we also do arts and crafts with a different theme each term. Our staff work with each child individually to help them participate no matter what difficulties they may have.
Rainbow Rogues can support your child to ensure that they are placed in the education location that is best suited to their needs.
We can help guide you through the choices that are available for your child and attend meetings to give our opinions on what support your child will need from an education setting.
The ultimate decision on where a child attends school depends on a lot of different factors so although we can give our support, we cannot guarantee placement in a particular setting.
Our Family Support Worker, Kim Stewart's role is to support the needs of each family who attends.
This may mean being a listening ear when a family member is going through a rough patch, assisting with filling out forms, or attending meetings with the family.
Kim is available for one to one sessions for members of the family who may need a bit more support than what is provided during coffee time at each session.
