Yes. I have contacted family support workers outside of working hours to discuss worries, and they have always been followed up. I texted the family support worker when my son has done something very positive, and it is great to feel her excitement. She has been invaluable at meetings with the school during the transition, partly as my voice when I haven’t spoken up but as shared knowledge and encouragement with me to move things forward. She always has positive words when things feel like they are getting a bit on top of me and makes me feel like I’m doing my best and that everything will be ok. She has allowed me to speak openly and freely without any judgment whether it’s when things are good or bad, and her commitment to helping me with my son’s communication passport and getting it right has been fantastic
